GIS Utility Consultant
Job Description
HD Spatial is looking for individuals to join our GIS and Utilities consulting practice. We are looking for candidates that know GIS and Utilities use cases, and also how to solve problems regardless of the technology, lead and deliver work to client expectations, envision new, creative solutions, and see those ideas through to reality.
Consultants will be involved with all phases of project work from Strategy to Execution with increasing responsibility based on experience and level within the HDS Career Framework.
Requirements
Proficient knowledge of GIS technology, capabilities, and applications
Proficient knowledge of Pipeline or Utility use cases
Project Deployment Experience including:
Leading project requirement workshops
Creating Design Documents and Deliverables
Project Test phase
Deployment planning and Execution
Scoping and Project Change Request
Status reporting and accountability
Ability to own and drive a workstream in collaboration with other team members
Ability to give and take direct feedback with brutal honesty while maintaining respect (Radical Candor)
Ability to work through challenging issues and interact with clients with many different perspectives and personalities.
A desire for ongoing leadership growth and development.
Nice to Have
Experience with a Big 4 Consulting Firm or comparable boutique.
Experience with project and account leadership / management
Experience with related technologies like Data Science, AI/ Machine Learning, IoT, Mobile, Cloud.
Experience or exposure to non GIS IT systems like EAM, CRM, Supply Chain, BI / Databases.
